Plant collector for Nathaniel Wallich. His name is frequently abbreviated as "RB" or "Rt. B". Collected extensively in Kumaon in 1826 and 1827. Transferred to Saharanpur Botanic Garden in 1839, where he took charge of the tea plantations at Kumaon.
Note:
Although Wallich numbered this as 72.2, he also added a note on page 61 to exclude 71.1, so this could be the only Collection he intended to associate with the taxon Cheilanthes contigua. In K-W there is one specimen associated with Entry 72, which was collected in Kumaon (K001109167).
